Wen Gang, Chairman of China Nonferrous Metal Mining (Group) Co., Ltd. (CNMC),?met with a delegation from Kazakhmays Corporation LLC, led by Ruslan Oskenali, CEO of the company,?at CNMC headquarters?in Beijing on May 23, 2026.
The two sides held in-depth discussions on strengthening strategic mutual trust and expanding areas of cooperation, among other topics.

Wen welcomed the delegation and noted that Kazakhmays Corporation LLC is??one of Kazakhstan's leading copper producers with significant influence?in the global copper industry.
The company has maintained sound communication with CNMC over the years, according to Wen, who said that the two sides enjoy a solid foundation for cooperation, strong complementarity, and broad prospects for cooperation.
CNMC has accumulated mature technologies and extensive experience in project operations in such fields as mineral development, smelting, and processing through years of development in the nonferrous metals industry, Wen noted.
He expressed hope that the two sides would build on their existing cooperation, further tap into potential areas of collaboration, and elevate pragmatic cooperation to a higher level, thus achieving more mutually beneficial outcomes and making greater contributions to the development of China–Kazakhstan economic and trade relations.
Oskenali thanked CNMC for its hospitality and said that CNMC is a trusted partner with widely recognized technological strength and project operational capabilities in the nonferrous metals industry.
He noted that long-term exchanges between the two sides have laid a solid foundation for deeper cooperation.
Kazakhmays Corporation LLC attaches great importance to its partnership with CNMC and is ready to further strengthen communication, expand cooperation, and work together with CNMC to achieve shared development and open up new prospects for cooperation, according to Oskenali.
The delegation visited the exhibition halls of CNMC and its subsidiary, China Nonferrous Metal Industry's Foreign Engineering and Construction Co., Ltd. (NFC), before the meeting.
The meeting was also attended by Zhanibek Baigabelov, General Director of Kazakhmys Smelting LLC (a subsidiary of Kazakhmays Corporation LLC), and Liu Yu, Vice President of CNMC, along with relevant representatives from both sides.
